Medical Gym Overview
The Medical Gym is a place where exercise that is recommended as a result of the intake part of the Vitality Program can be performed in a safe and supportive environment. The goals of the program are to reduce oxidative stress, improve the efficiency of energy production, improve exercise capacity and improve metabolism.
FDA approved, Class 1, Medical Devices (Vibraflex) are utilized under supervision.
The current modalities being utilized include Oxygen Step Therapy, Vibration Platform Training and FIR Infrared Sauna.
- Oxygen Step Therapy: cycling on a stationary bicycle while breathing oxygen and using either supplements or medications to dilate the small arteries. A session can last from 5-15 minutes depending on the individual. The sessions are best performed 2-3 times per week.
- Vibration Training: utilizes a vibration platform upon which the individual performs guided exercises. Training sessions of 5-10 minutes 2-3 times per week produce measurable results.
- FIR Infrared Sauna: a dry heat treatment that improves peripheral circulation and raises metabolic rate. This can be completed 2 times per week.
Dr. Ross and other medical personnel individualize all activities. The programs are revised at 4-6 week intervals. All activities are performed under the supervision of Dr. Ross’ staff.
Access to the Medical Gym is only available to individuals cleared by Dr. Ross or other providers of Integrative Medicine at Crossroads, LLC.
The cost for access to the program is $60.00 per month paid in advance. In order to avoid crowding, appointments are required. To register for the program, please contact Ms. Sue Ewing at 410-997-5191.
