The Nexalin Technology:

Nexalin Technology is a patented product line based on the life work of Dr. Yakov Katsnelson in Transcranial Electrical Stimulation (TES). Dr. Katsnelson’s original TES work proved efficacious with several diseases in Europe and Russia prior to entry into the U.S. Marketplace. In the United States, the FDA has given clearance for Nexalin Therapy for treatment of anxiety, depression and insomnia.

Nexalin Therapy has already been cleared for the relief of the pain associated with osteoarthritis and pain management in other countries outside of the United States. Nexalin Technology has the European Union approval and CE Marking for the treatment of anxiety, depression, insomnia, and pain management. Australia has also approved the Nexalin device for anxiety, depression, insomnia, and pain management. Russia has already approved the Nexalin device for general medical indications. Nexalin plans to seek clearance from the FDA for pain management in the United States over the next few years as well.

How Nexalin Therapy Works:

Nexalin therapy is a type of cranial electrotherapy stimulation (CES).  Its effect is realized through the activation of the brain’s antinociceptive mechanisms.  In many years of experiments and clinical trials, the optimal electrical regime and the “resonance” characteristics of the brain’s antinociceptive mechanisms were proven. 

Nexalin Technology believes that Nexalin therapy has the ability to positively affect the character of homeostasis (the ability or tendency of an organism to maintain internal equilibrium by adjusting its physiological processes), and manipulate associated neurochemicals toward normalized levels.  Nexalin therapy treats anxiety, depression and insomnia by applying its patented electrical stimulation process and method, categorized as CES, through the brain.  Usually, ten sessions in a two-week period are administered, followed by an assessment and determination whether additional treatments may be necessary.  Additionally, a maintenance program is provided and recommended.

Clinical data clearly documents significant statistical and clinical improvement in patients with anxiety, depression and insomnia.  Nexalin Therapy works in the activation of the brain structures that control the production and use of serotonin, beta-endorphins, enkephalins, and DPIS (an important element for sleep).  Research suggests that the structures affected by Nexalin’s stimulation are the hypothalamus and other structures that produce and utilize beta-endorphin and serotonin, as well as the stabilizing affect that is provided by the hypothalamus via its role in homeostasis and adaptive response of the brain to normalize levels.
